Celebrating 30 Years of Lions-Lunch in Wien

Since 30 years every Wednesday Lions from all over the world meet at Lions Lunch in Wien - the capital of Austria. Meanwhile welcomed were more that 16.000 visitors form 5 continents and 35 countries - Lions from 238 Clubs.

"Visitors coming the first time will get handed over a visitors certificate and a pennant", tells PDG Friedrich Hoffenreich. He is one of the hosts.

The history of Lions Lunch in Wien is documented in a book.

On November 15, 2018 the celebration committee welcomed standing visitors from Austria and abroad - among them was DG Karin Widermann. PDG Friedrich Hoffenreich moderated the event and conveyed welcome notes from ID Walter Zemrosser and Dr. Michael Ludwig - mayor of the city of Wien. Anita Querfeldt, owener of Café Landtmann, invited to appetizers and handed over a remarkable cake. She thanked for many years lasting loyality to Café Landtmann and wished the Lions organization much success for their humanitarian projects in future.

IP Gudrun Yngvadottir awards the founder of Lions Lunch Wien - LF Rudolf H. Reiter - with a Certificate of Appreciation. Due to his health conditions the award was handed over later by LF Hannes Hantl.
